Moody, intimate and deep like dark woods. I snagged the Stridulum II LP several months ago, but was slow to warm up to it. Perhaps it was the day or the week or who knows what, but now I love this album.

Holy shit, this is awesome.

Every single bit of this is amazing to me: the beautiful strangeness of the actual video, the mingling of sounds and rhythms... I honestly feel like this has kind of changed my life.

Who would have expected that from space-age exotica?

Nite Jewel - Artificial Intelligence

Nite Jewel is more than the slightly waif-ish and quirky Ramona on lead vocals. The moment I had the Phaseone remix of 'Want You Back', I was interested.
And once I heard this track, I became a fan. It is bizarre and 80's-like and surprisingly beautiful and disjointed.

I highly suggest 'Falling Far' as well. You can hear the influence of Ariel Pink in that one. Or hear Nite Jewel's influence on Ariel Pink... I think everyone in the chillwave/retro-indie world is feeding off of one another.
